They are seeking a Graduate Assistant/Research in Bioinformatics to assist faculty members in research activities, data collection, and project development under supervision.

Responsibilities
Perform tasks and assist faculty members in research activities for a designated project
Assist in the collection of data and/or conduct independent research specific to the research project
Perform development work for the project. Depending on the needs of the project, development work could include training, statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, programming, database, web design and development, system analysis, or network administration
Conduct testing, implementation, and evaluation of project deliverables
Coordinate project meetings and lead project discussions
Prepares reports and publications as needed
Assist in other specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connect to the research project
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students
Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance
Preferred
Programming languages; Python or Java for Desktop, Server Side Web Apps, or Cloud
Web Design and Development Skills involving HTML, CSS, and Javascript
Database Development and Writing SQL Queries (Oracle, MS SQL Server)
Statistics, Data Mining, and Machine Learning
