Senior Level, Lead/StaffStake Center Locating is recruiting experienced Locate Technicians to become Lead Locate Technicians on their team. The role involves supervising and organizing locate technicians to ensure accurate identification of underground utilities while managing projects, mentoring team members, and maintaining safety standards.
Location Based Services
Responsibilities
Perform damage investigations
Conduct audits (including Field Safety Audits)
Execute ride along with crew members
Manage ticket distribution
Upkeep of vehicles (issues and maintenance)
Manage equipment and supplies (including issues and distribution)
Manage recruitment to team
Provide mentorship and guidance to locate technicians
Foster positivity and safety among crew members
Help with difficult locates
Conduct crew meetings and reporting
Continuously learn about equipment and technology
Address concerns or inquiries from customers
Maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication
Report and investigate accidents/injuries
Conduct SOP directives
Qualification
Required
Must be at least eighteen years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas
Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free
Computer literate
Ability to locate
Ability to effectively perform a PDR or damage investigation
Ability to interact with all involved, the public, customers, contractors, utility representatives and all those under their direction
Excellent communication skills at all levels
