Clinical Psychologist - Adult or Lifespan Mental Health
The Northern Health Region (NHR) is seeking a contingent Geographic Full-Time Clinical Psychologist to provide clinical services primarily to adults with mental health concerns, while also offering the opportunity for child and adolescent services if applicable. The role involves clinical leadership, program development, and teaching within a collaborative interdisciplinary team, integrating clinical and academic responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Consultation to health and mental health professionals throughout the Northern Health Region; clinical leadership with community mental health teams regarding psychological aspects of care
Clinical services to adults with mental health concerns, including diagnostic and cognitive assessment and evidence-based treatment (individual and group-delivered). Clinical services to children and youth, where have applicable training
Clinical program development and evaluation
Clinical supervision and teaching of psychology residents in our CPA-accredited residency training program; teaching of medical students and learners from other health professions and continuing professional education of health professionals
Applied clinical research
Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from a CPA or APA-accredited clinical psychology training program, and completion of a CPA or APA accredited internship/residency
Registered or eligible for registration as a Psychologist (C.Psych.) with the Psychological Association of Manitoba www.cpmb.ca
Education, training and experience in diagnostic evaluation, and administration and interpretation of standard adult psychodiagnostic and cognitive psychological tests and measures
Education, training, and experience in evidence-based psychological interventions and individual & group treatment delivery for a range of mental health conditions
Ability to provide consultation to interdisciplinary teams including to other mental health professionals
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and inter-professional teamwork skills
Satisfactory results of pre-employment criminal records, child and adult abuse registry, and vulnerable persons checks required
Preferred
Education, training and experience in child and adolescent mental health assessment/treatment would be an asset
Training, experience and/or research background/interests in Indigenous health would be an asset
