VSP Vision Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate optometrist to launch and lead its first in-house eye care service at Shasta Cascade Health Centers in Northern California. The role involves performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and managing ocular diseases, and expanding the newly established Optometry Department while supporting community outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye exams
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases
Prescribe corrective lenses
Co-manage surgical cases in collaboration with ophthalmology
Play a key role in leading and expanding the newly established Optometry Department
Help shape its services and impact within the community
Take part in provider meetings
Support community outreach initiatives that align with SCHC’s mission

Qualification

Required

Optometry license in the state of California
Doctor of Optometry degree
Commitment to serving underserved populations
