Responsibilities

Perform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work

Shall have a basic knowledge of the theory, practices, and procedures pertaining to engineering matters in one or more of the following areas:

Civil Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Communications Systems

Computer Engineering

Automation Systems

Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions

Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas:

Civil Engineering

Distribution Engineering

Substation Design

Substation Automation

Power Systems Analysis

Communications Systems

Electrical Control Systems

Protective Relaying

Transmission Systems

Develop knowledge of the Company’s design, construction, QA/QC, and safety standards and the Company document control system

Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed

May be required to travel to support work

Required

Shall have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering program or an Associate Degree in Engineering with the appropriate experience at a Designer level
