Section Chief - Neuroradiology
The University of Florida is seeking a full-time faculty member for the role of Section Chief in Neuroradiology within its Department of Radiology. The position involves providing clinical leadership, overseeing patient care and educational initiatives, and fostering research activities in a collaborative academic environment.

Responsibilities
Partner with the Chair and other department leaders on strategic initiatives and operational needs for the Department and for the Division
Lead efforts in recruitment, mentoring, and faculty development
Promote a positive culture of clinical excellence, academic achievement, and professional integrity
Oversee division scheduling, workflow optimization, and quality assurance initiatives
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
Interpret a full range of diagnostic neuroradiology studies, including CT, MRI, and advanced imaging of the brain, spine, head and neck
Participate in multidisciplinary conferences (tumor boards, epilepsy, surgery planning, spine, etc.)
Participation in after-hours/weekend call based on departmental structure
Foster a vibrant teaching environment for medical students, residents, and neuroradiology fellows
Organize and participate in didactic lectures, case conferences, and hands-on training
Support curriculum development and educational innovation
Encourage and participate in clinical, translational, or basic science research
Support junior faculty and trainees in academic pursuits
Facilitate collaboration with other UF Health colleges and research institutes
Qualification
Required
MD or DO degree
Board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology
Fellowship training in Neuroradiology
Subspecialty certification in Neuroradiology
Eligibility for Florida medical licensure
Preferred
Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor preferred (or qualifications to support appointment at that level)
Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Track record of teaching excellence and mentorship
Experience in clinical operations and quality improvement
Active research or scholarly output
Experience in AI or Informatics, optimal but not required
