Knowledge Road is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in Manhattan's NYC Department of Education schools. The role involves delivering high-quality occupational therapy services, performing assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans to help students thrive academically and live independently.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, as required by their Individualized Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP)
Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, and activities of daily living skills
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans using sensory integration, motor learning principles, and adaptive strategies
Modify and adapt classroom environments, learning materials, and assistive technology to enhance student participation and independence
Collaborate extensively with parents, teachers, related service providers, and school administrators to support coordinated care and best outcomes
Provide guidance and training to educational staff on positioning, adaptive equipment use, and sensory strategies
Meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with DOE regulations and Knowledge Road standards
Take an active role in IESP/IEP meetings, offering expert occupational therapy insights and evidence-based recommendations
Qualification
Required
Current valid NYS license as an Occupational Therapist in good standing
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) registration
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a school or pediatric setting
Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and teletherapy platforms
NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or readiness to obtain prior to start
