Assistant Attorney General - High Tech Crimes

Responsibilities
Prosecute cases throughout the state and should expect to travel
Provide legal advice and assistance to law enforcement agencies during the course of investigation
Evaluate cases for prosecution
Initiate prosecutions
Handle cases through sentencing and post-trial motions
Conduct grand jury investigations
Litigate grand jury matters
Draft and review search warrants
Work with law enforcement in planning undercover operations
Qualification
Required
Licensed by the State of Illinois at the time of application
Minimum of 3+ years of post-graduate prosecution experience as a licensed attorney
Working knowledge of computer systems and technology
In-depth knowledge of the principles of criminal law and procedure, including discovery and the rules of evidence
Jury trial experience
Preferred
Significant criminal prosecution and trial experience
Felony jury trial experience
