SENIOR PSYCHOLOGIST, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (SUPERVISOR)
California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (Supervisor) to oversee the training and clinical supervision of subordinate staff psychologists. The role involves conducting complex psychological evaluations and treatment of inmate patients, as well as assisting in program development, evaluation, and policy revision.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the direct training and clinical/administrative supervision of subordinate staff psychologists as assigned
Performing the most difficult psychological evaluations and associated treatment of inmate patients
Assist in program development and evaluation
Assist in research
Provide training and clinical consultation
Revision of department policy and procedures
Function as a specialized psychological consultant to the institutional staff upon request
Qualification
Required
Possession of a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology
Possession of an earned Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an educational institution meeting the criteria of Section 2914 of the Medical Board of California's Business and Professions Code
Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility
Employment History on the STD 678 must be complete and include dates, accurate hours per week, total time worked, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors
Applicants who completed their education outside of the US (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency
Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter
If using academic education above the twelfth grade to meet minimum qualifications, include a copy of your degree and/or Informal (Unofficial) School Transcripts
If using Out of Class (OOC) experience to meet minimum qualifications a copy of the approved OOC Completion Memorandum certifying your OOC experience shall be attached to the application
Possession of Minimum Qualifications (MQ) will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired with California Correctional Health Care Services.
$10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend should they meet the eligibility criteria, including but not limited to remaining employed with CCHCS for six months.
$20,000 monthly recruitment and retention differential during their first year with CCHCS, should they meet the eligibility criteria.
$5,000 referral bonus should you be selected for hire, and remain employed with CCHCS for 90 days.
