SSC CPAs + Advisors, Inc. is offering a unique Summer Internship opportunity designed to provide students with hands-on experience across three key lines of service: Tax, Audit, and Client Accounting Services (CAS). Interns will be assigned a Mentor or a Senior Navigator to guide them through the experience, with opportunities to shadow professionals, assist with client work, and participate in firm events, training, and community involvement.

Responsibilities

Support the preparation of individual and business tax returns
Organize and review tax documents
Assist with basic tax research projects
Assist with audit fieldwork and testing procedures
Help compile workpapers and document findings
Participate in internal audit team meetings and discussions
Support account reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks
Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting
Work with accounting software such as QuickBooks and others
Collaborate with team members and supervisors across departments
Attend Summer Internship Academy sessions for technical and soft skills development
Participate in firm-wide initiatives, networking events, and social activities

Qualification

Required

Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Completion of introductory accounting courses
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred

Experience with accounting software is a plus
