SilverEdge Government Solutions is seeking an Information System Security Officer to lead medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. The role involves providing specialized guidance on IT security, implementing security policies, and managing the security posture of information systems.

Responsibilities

Provides highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems

Assists with preparation and maintenance of documentation

Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards and methodologies

Assists with the CM for information system security software, hardware, and firmware

Maintains optional security posture for an information system or program

Develops and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) for both new and existing systems

Analyzes vulnerability scan results and collaborate with system owners to implement remediation

Supports the initial authorization and reauthorization processes for system(s)

Manages and control changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes

Required

TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance

A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required to support this effort

Experience in two or more of the following areas: knowledge of current security tool, hardware/software security implementation; communications protocols; and encryption techniques/tools

DOD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher
