Responsibilities

Designs and analyzes complex mechanical parts and assemblies, ensuring adherence to applicable standards
Provides technical decision-making that impacts compliance with design specifications
Engages fully in all design phases, from analysis and testing to qualification for production
Collaborates with and potentially leads project teams, directing team members' activities
Produces essential documentation, including layout drawings, detail drawings, assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Orders, and design records, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies
Develops product and component test specifications, actively participating in team efforts to deepen product and user knowledge
Improves manufacturing processes and product designs through dedicated research
Learns about material flow, fabrication & manufacturing processes, and equipment by collaborating with various functional areas to enhance cost, quality, lead time, and safety
Manages problem-solving aspects, including people, processes, and product, to implement solutions
Plans and analyzes workspace requirements, workflow, and equipment layout for efficiency
Engages in technical writing to standardize work instructions
Contributes to the design and analysis of complex parts and assemblies
Participates in cross-functional teams, involving daily tasks such as attending meetings, project activities, problem analysis, manufacturing or quality troubleshooting, and communication with stakeholders
Executes engineering change orders and develops test protocols and reports
Utilizes a diverse array of software tools, including 3D modeling software and Microsoft Office Suite
Delivers formal presentations and reports on conducted work, facilitating clear communication and collaboration
Actively participates and engages in the enterprise co-op program cohort

Required

Enrollment in a 4-year accredited degree program is required, with a focus on obtaining a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field

Ability to follow instructions
Ability to multitask and problem solve
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
