Responsibilities

Immerse yourself in the freight industry using user research and competitive insights to shape creative direction
Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Product Design, and Engineering to articulate value propositions and deliver customer experiences
Lead the creative execution of high-impact projects, including website redesigns and ad campaigns
Carry ideas from early explorations in Figma through polished execution, including Webflow landing pages and Braze email campaigns
Define, evolve, and elevate Mudflap’s brand vision, balancing modern aesthetics with authenticity
Build and maintain a scalable brand system across digital, print, social, events, and product

Required

8+ years of in-house design experience at a consumer or SaaS software company (bonus if you've worked with operations or marketplace software)
Strong background in brand, communication, and marketing design, with the ability to translate strategy into compelling creative across multiple channels
In-house brand stewardship — demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and evolve a brand system over time, beyond short-term agency engagements or campaign work
Cross-functional fluency — comfortable collaborating with Marketing, Product, Product Design, Engineering, Data Science, and leadership to deliver cohesive customer experiences
User research and data-informed design — deeply engage with user needs and business goals by combining customer interviews, competitive analysis, and funnel diagnostics. Proactively propose and execute iterative improvements, and validate them through A/B and multivariate testing
Storytelling and facilitation skills — exceptional at explaining your thinking, presenting to stakeholders, and leading design jams or workshops
Independent ownership and high-velocity execution — thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment by taking projects from insight to impact: gathering research, aligning with stakeholders, shaping the vision, and delivering polished assets across digital and print marketing, lifecycle campaigns, ad campaigns, and conversion funnels
Polished portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength, systems thinking, visual clarity, and high-quality execution
Fluency in modern design tools including Figma, Jitter, Webflow, Braze, and related creative software

Preferred

Formal design education (BFA/MFA preferred) or equivalent professional experience
