Responsibilities
Deliver high-level, conceptually rich reading and mathematics instruction tailored to gifted and talented students as prescribed
Utilize inquiry-based, problem-solving, and discovery-driven instructional approaches to cultivate deep understanding
Encourage students to engage in higher-order thinking, abstract reasoning, and modeling
Foster an interactive, student-centered classroom environment that promotes collaboration and discourse
Communicate regularly with parents and administrators regarding student progress
Provide ongoing feedback to the program coordinator
Keep accurate records
Qualification
Required
State teaching certification
Proven track record of success in teaching mathematics and reading
Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire, and challenge students at an advanced level
Strong knowledge of mathematical problem-solving strategies, reasoning, and modeling
Strong knowledge of developing reading comprehension skills and a deep understanding of advanced text
Exceptional ability to foster intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, and creativity
Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and faculty
