Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage CMT and Special Inspection projects from inception to completion
Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure timely delivery
Assist Business Development staff with cost estimating during the proposal phase
Monitor budgets and financial performance of assigned projects
Ensure accurate project billing and cost control
Provide technical guidance to inspection and testing staff
Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and codes
Analyze test results and inspection findings, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders
Communicate project status, findings, and issues effectively
Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and supporting documentation
Ensure project records are accurate, complete, and properly archived
Maintain up-to-date schedules, budgets, and correspondence
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of inspectors, technicians, and support staff
Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to reinforce safety and quality standards
Evaluate performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement
Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and consistency in all deliverables
Conduct audits and field visits to verify compliance and quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMT and Special Inspections, with at least 2 years in a Project Management role
Minimum of 2 years of Public Agency Project Management experience in CMT and Special Inspections, with MTA, NYCHA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, PANYNJ, or NJDOT is highly desirable

Legally authorized to work in the United States
Strong leadership and organizational skills; proficiency in project management and LIMS software
Strong knowledge of construction materials testing and Special Inspection methods
Project Financial Management - Relevant experience with budgeting, preparing change orders, preparing invoices and collections
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders
Work independently with limited supervision
Good written & verbal communication skills
Preferred
Professional Engineer License (NY or NJ) or ability to obtain license or reciprocity within 6 months highly preferred
Relevant certifications such as NICET, ICC Special Inspector, or similar credentials
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred
