LFCE Student Assistant Digital Media Specialist AY 2025-2026 - FWS only

The role of the Student Assistant Digital Media Specialist involves providing professional administrative support to the Sr. Instructional Technologist, focusing on digital communications, video production, and event planning.

Responsibilities
Compile and produce videos for newsletters, websites, and other communications
Create, edit, and help facilitate promotional material (flyers, press releases, email announcements, etc)
Help with digital engagement including social media presence and posts
Correspond and coordinate with other departments, vendors, and speakers
Create, maintain, and manage events an event platform
Attend and record LFCE large events
Take deliveries across campus, order and maintain LFCE and center swag inventory, and perform other tasks/duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a current University of La Verne student With Federal Work Study eligibility for the 2025-2026 academic year
Experience in a professional, customer-focused environment
Experience with video editing, videography, and/or photography, and/or graphic/web design, especially within the context of social media
Someone interested in all aspects of communications with an aptitude for video editing and production
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Apps, and similar cloud-based platforms
Should be comfortable using and learning a range of software and hardware tools
Must possess strong relational and organizational skills
Must be able to manage own assignments and work independently with limited supervision
Preferred
Knowledge of Adobe CC or Final Cut, metadata tagging, and/or database management
Ability to work within Windows and Mac OS environments
Benefits
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
