Responsibilities
Lead audits covering AML, sanctions, and fraud risk management practices within a large financial institution
Design and execute risk-based audit plans, ensuring adequate coverage of compliance risks and regulatory expectations
Evaluate controls tied to transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, case investigations, and escalation protocols
Review governance structures, compliance reporting, and risk assessments to identify potential gaps
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders with clarity and precision
Oversee audit teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance throughout each audit cycle
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in internal audit, risk, or compliance roles-ideally in financial services or consulting
Minimum of 5 years directly focused on AML, sanctions, or fraud program oversight
Familiarity with regulatory expectations tied to financial crimes and related audit frameworks
Proven ability to lead audit teams and manage high-visibility engagements in fast-paced environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting formal reports and presenting to leadership
