Intern - Pavement Condition Engineering (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is offering a summer internship in Pavement Condition Engineering. Interns will conduct pavement condition surveys and assess data related to highway pavements, primarily working from a computer workstation.

Responsibilities
Conduct pavement condition surveys to identify and quantify pavement condition data on various types of highway pavements
Review and assess data collected by SDDOT’s Pavement Condition Vehicle
Complete work primarily from a computer workstation
Occasional overnight travel may be required if data collection or data verification is needed
Qualification
Required
Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
