Facilitator ARD 2025-2026

Fort Bend ISD is seeking a Facilitator ARD to implement and ensure compliance with the ARD/Individual Education Plan process. This role involves coordinating, planning, and facilitating ARD meetings while collaborating with the Special Education Department and campus staff to support students receiving special education services.

Education

Responsibilities

Monitor, assist, and coach campus staff in completing ARD documentation
Prepare paperwork for all ARD meetings and staffings on assigned campus(es)
Facilitate and participate in all ARD meetings and staffings on assigned campus(es)
Provide professional learning on assigned campus(es) to assist school personnel in programming for students with disabilities
Participate in required professional learning and meetings, and follow all year-end procedures related to job assignment
Effectively communicate with supervisors, colleagues, students and parents as well as maintaining positive and effective relationships
Serve as a resource to campus administration on the implementation of special education services
Support District and department goals
Communicate with parents and schedule ARD meetings in a timely manner
Prepare and maintain ARD meeting calendar for assigned campus(es) and notify all appropriate staff and attendees of changes/cancellations of meetings
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, required rosters and other documents in a timely and accurate manner
Meet all timelines within TEA guidelines for annual meetings and evaluations
Ensure that all federal and state requirements are met when conducting ARD meetings
Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education, and local board policy in the areas of assessment, placement, and planning for students with disabilities
Comply with all district and local campus routines and procedures
Remain current on best practices, special education law, policies and procedures

Required

Bachelor's Degree in education or related field
Valid Special Education Certification
Minimum of 5 years of experience in special education with a minimum of three years of completing Admission Review Dismissal (ARD) paperwork in a data management system
Demonstrated knowledge of special education law, policies, procedures, and best practices related to the implementation of special education services
Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs
Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
