Qualification
Required
Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Radiology
AART for all Xray roles
New York State License (L.R.T.)
Graduate of two-year ultrasound program with clinical and didactic education
2+ years as Ultrasound Technician
Certified Sonographer Issuing Agency: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
New York State License (L.R.T.) for CT roles
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (ARRT and current CT certification) for all CT roles
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology for MRI roles
Strong background in cross sectional anatomy, physical sciences and M.R. physics for MRI roles
NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology for MRI roles
A.R.R.T. MRI registry for MRI roles
BLS Certified for MRI roles
Completion of an accredited Radiology Program for Cat/MRI roles
All CT/MRI technologists are required to be DOH certified to inject iv contrast
Certified to inject technologists must be able to complete injection tasks as to protocol
