Firmware Simulation Systems Design Engineer Lead

Responsibilities
Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across validation, including firmware, simulation model and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives
Develop and debug firmware for power management feature in AMD products
Collaborate with SoC and platform architects to define power management requirements and test plans
Support silicon bring-up, pre-silicon simulation/emulation debug activities
Supervise and mentor a team of firmware engineers, fostering growth through coaching and technical guidance
Lead firmware simulation model development
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
Driving technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across validation, including firmware, simulation model and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives
Develop and debug firmware for power management feature in AMD products
Collaborate with SoC and platform architects to define power management requirements and test plans
Support silicon bring-up, pre-silicon simulation/emulation debug activities
Supervise and mentor a team of firmware engineers, fostering growth through coaching and technical guidance
Lead firmware simulation model development
Preferred
Programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Python)
Debug techniques and methodologies
Extensive experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc
Extensive knowledge of embedded system firmware development and debugging
Experience with RTOS, multicore/multithreaded firmware development
Knowledge of SoC architecture, low-power optimization techniques in silicon devices
Knowledge of firmware simulation flow, model development, and firmware testability with an understanding of model limitations
Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion with strong leadership
