Responsibilities
Conducts risk reduction activates in the physical environment and Life Safety features of the Building
Collects deficiency information of the physical environment and disseminate summaries of actions and results to the Environment Of Care (EOC) committee
Coordinates environmental risk assessment with Department Safety Officers (DSO)
Serves as liaison to schedule periodic inspections with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
Collaborates with contractors and other team members to assess Life Safety risk and implement the Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM)
Serves as a member of the Environment of Care committee
Coordinates and conducts all Fire drills
Coordinates testing, inspection and repair activities of the Life Safety Systems with vendor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years in Emergency Management / Life Safety, preferably in healthcare maintenance or engineering operations
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, team facilitation and project management
Possess a strong knowledge of industry standards and Life Safety Code (LSC), National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), Environment of Care (EOC), Emergency Management, State of Texas Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Occupational Safety and Healthcare Administration (OSHA), Center for Disease Control (CDC), organizational management; quality improvement and change management techniques; planning, accreditation and regulatory standards and the ability to interpret the requirements as applicable to assigned areas; strategic planning principles
Proficient in computers and all applications of MicroSoft Office
