The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member for the Fashion Business Management department. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, develop curriculum, and enhance student learning experiences while fostering industry connections and academic scholarship.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses across the program's five key pillars: leadership, product, merchandising, planning/analytics, and strategy

Develop and enhance curriculum in areas such as fashion analytics, planning and digital technology, merchandising strategies, brand development, and product development

Advise students and identify opportunities through mentoring, internships, seminars, and industry events

Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry leaders and other academic institutions

Plan and implement the school and department's strategic goals to bring innovative learning experiences into the classroom

Serve on department, school, and college-wide committees, support accreditation, and participate in administrative duties and special projects as required

Required

Candidates must have an MBA or master's degree in a field related to the fashion industry, or enrolled in a master's degree program, in progress, to completion

Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in the area(s) of fashion analytics, planning and digital technology, merchandising strategies, brand development, retail and product management

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner
