VP of Sales, Capital District
United Electric Supply Co. Inc. is a nationally recognized, 100% employee-owned company that is a major supplier of electrical products and advanced services for the construction and industrial markets. The VP of Sales is responsible for developing the Outside Sales Associates in the Capital District, ensuring sales growth, and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and coordinates with Regional Vice President and Branch Managers, the efforts of sales personnel toward the accomplishment of objectives within his/her region
Ensures maximum sales volume at minimum cost. Maintains and constantly improves the company’s competitive position
Develops and maintains good relations with key supplier management, direct services key account relationships as necessary
Develops objectives, policies, and programs for sales and marketing activities; participates in the corporate long-term and short-term planning process
Coordinates the initial stages of new product planning and development, including marketing and sales objectives
Represents the company to the community, the public in general, and various local, regional, state, and national organizations
Attends applicable trade association meetings/events to promote our company
Motivates and coaches sales force for effective performance. Monitors use of training principles and their practice by the sales team
Directs and coordinates efforts between outside sales and product managers, and ensures the implementation, execution, and accomplishment of mutually identified goals
Will have the direct reporting responsibility for all outside sales representatives in the District
Develops objectives, sales and gross profit forecasts, and programs for sales and marketing activities; participates in the district long-term and short-term planning process
Maintains a focused team effort between outside sales, inside sales/customer service, and operations at all locations within the region
Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies
Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Your personal safety is your responsibility
Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed
Support all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies for all employees within your district
Performs other duties as obvious or assigned
Qualification
Required
Proven track record of achieving results
Desire to work under pressure
High degree of Self-Awareness, Self-Control, Interpersonal Understanding, Flexibility, Personal Influence & Vision
Frequently travel to all branches in assigned district
Experience leading sales teams towards long-term strategic goals
Minimum 5 years' experience in sales
