The role involves supporting the daily operations of the transportation department by coordinating with drivers, carriers, and internal departments, while maintaining transportation data and preparing necessary documents.

Responsibilities
Accurately enter, update, and maintain transportation data in internal systems (e.g., shipment details, delivery confirmations, carrier information)
Prepare and process all documents required for transportation
Review and verify data with a high level of attention to detail (“eagle eyes” for catching errors)
Interface with customer portals to verify schedule and track shipments
Assist with freight quoting
Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to support one another
Maintain professional relationships with key internal stakeholders (shipping, stockroom, customer service, accounting, and other internal departments)
Qualification
Required
Prior clerical, administrative, or data-focused experience (manufacturing/operations environment a plus)
High level of analytical accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
Strong office skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, organizing, etc.)
Ability to ask thoughtful questions and think critically
