The Controller will manage financial activities, oversee the accounting department, and ensure compliance while supporting the firm’s growth and success through strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
Prepare and present accurate financial reports, statements, and analyses to aid management decision-making and strategy development
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support the firm’s objectives and initiatives
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and internal policies. Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures
Manage the accounting team and provide guidance to ensure optimal performance and professional growth

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
Experience in financial management, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm
