The successful candidate will contribute to the Graphic Design curriculum, teach various design skills, and engage in pedagogical innovation while supporting student success and departmental service.

Responsibilities

Develop and teach coursework in traditional and innovative approaches to Graphic Design

Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive department and classroom environment

Support student success through mentorship and effective teaching practices using traditional, flexible, and digital delivery methods

Collaborate with faculty and departmental leadership to maintain and develop course curricula

Perform service to the department, college, and university

Perform other duties as designated by the Department Chair

Willingness to participate in recruitment activity, portfolio review, and retention efforts

Required

MFA in Graphic Design, M.Des. with a minimum of 60 hours of graduate work, or equivalent terminal degree in Visual Communication Design, Interaction Design, or closely related discipline. Applicants who will be completing their terminal degree before August 2026 and who otherwise meet minimum requirements are encouraged to apply; however, completion of the degree is required prior to the start of the appointment
