Celnor Group is a consortium of businesses providing a wide array of inspection, testing, certification, and compliance services across the UK. They are seeking a highly motivated Principal/Associate Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer to assist with the technical development and expansion of geotechnical projects, including client liaison, contract management, and fieldwork.

Responsibilities

Liaison with clients

Tendering and all aspects of contract management

Fieldwork, data analysis along with interpretative report writing

Management and the development of other employees

Technical development and expansion of current and new business

Qualification

Required

Relevant qualification/experience in Geoscience, Engineering or Geo Environmental/Geotechnical related discipline

Substantial experience working at a Senior level within a Geotechnical/Environmental capacity

Full UK Driving licence

IT literacy (MS packages)

Fluency in spoken and written English

Right to work in UK

Experience of contamination assessments

Deep understanding in forming accurate geological ground models

Familiar with UK site investigation techniques and practice

Understand soils and rock to BS5930+A2

Familiar with the requirements of Eurocode 7 as a basis for the preparation of geotechnical designs, including but not limited to slope stability, excavations, retaining walls and foundations

Preferred

A valid CSCS card (preferable but not essential)

Particular experience or interest in trenchless construction systems and their relationship to certification in accordance with CD 622 and Network Rail procedures for under road (URX) and under track crossings (UTX)
