The State of Hawaiʻi is seeking a Human Resources Assistant III to support human resources actions at the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport. The role involves performing detailed routines of limited complexity and processing human resources actions according to established guidelines.

Responsibilities

Performs detailed routines of limited complexity pertinent to processing of human resources actions which are typically: (a) assigned on a continuing basis; and (b) are covered by well established guidelines, procedures and/or instructions which provide a fairly specific basis for taking action; and performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States
General Experience: One year of progressively responsible general office clerical experience
Specialized Experience: One year of experience in an office where the work required the knowledge and application of pertinent human resources rules, regulations, procedures and program requirements
Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Clearance - Federal Criminal History Records Check: In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the airport must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the SIDA clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found 'not guilty by reason of insanity,' of a disqualifying criminal offense within ten years from the date of the application. Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding ten years
