IT Technical Architect

Responsibilities
Accountable for the overall end-to-end technical design. Ensures that system requirements are translated effectively into solutions and ensures architectural assurance is performed by overseeing the planning, integration, reporting, and standard development for systems such as SAP S4, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), GPS Barcoding, Gas Management Systems, SAP EAM solution architecture, SAP Cloud and Mobile Solutions. Collaborates with Enterprise Architects and other Solution Architects to provide direction so that the organization can make appropriate design decisions of new technologies that drive consistency, efficiency, and agility
Leads, coaches, and mentors the technical teams to ensure the success of system improvements
Proactively interfaces with business users and IT to provide support for future business initiatives and projects. Actively participates and applies the vision of systems such as GIS, GPS Barcoding, Gas Management Systems and SAP EAM in short and long-range roadmap planning and sequencing to meet business objectives. For these system domains, facilitates communication and activities between internal IT department and various levels of the organization and outside vendors and consultants. Builds consensus between multiple parties and educates business and IT staff on recommended solutions for implementation
Drives impact assessment of any major change requests to requirements providing input to the Program Management Team and the appropriate governance/architect review for changes in scope and for the overall solution
Responsible for creating and/or maintaining architectural artifacts, blueprints, policies, standards and procedures to manage information systems architecture (data systems, applications, and technology) which would include: standard development practices, software architecture, system architecture, business intelligence architecture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline from an accredited institution
Minimum of 8 years of direct work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position or performing duties closely related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position
Minimum of 10 years of experience in any combination of SAP Basis, SAP BTP, SAP Mobile Services, SAP ABAP, SAP PI/PO, SAP EAM, SAP ERP, SAP CRMB GIS, GPS Barcoding, Gas Management Systems, BizTalk, SAP Security, SAP Basis, etc
A minimum of 3 years supervisory or leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to perform SAP Basis functions including the design, deployment and support of scalable, high-performing SAP and non-SAP landscapes
Experience with multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations
Strong expertise in SAP S4 HANA, SAP HANA administration, and SAP upgrades, migrations and system refreshes
Demonstrated ability to champion a clear vision for domains such as GIS, Gas Management Systems, BizTalk, SAP Security, SAP Basis, SAP PI/PO, SAP EAM, SAP ERP, SAP CRMB to be implemented and the manner for which they will support business unit processes
Demonstrated knowledge of SAP domains such as SAP ERP, CRMB, EAM, Basis, Security, PO/PI or GIS, Gas Management Systems, GPS Barcoding, Azure/cloud based infrastructure, Mobile Solutions etc
Demonstrated experience of Fiori, OData, and SAP integration tools
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with business partners, IT team members and senior management
Expert knowledge of SAP and non-SAP software applications and hardware technologies. Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies; leads application of new technologies
Expert verbal, written, organizational, analytical and presentation skills. Strong leadership and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability leading teams in support of business process analysis efforts and educating others in the proper application of tools and techniques
Demonstrated ability to independently conduct interviews with management and other department leaders and distinguish between business needs and requests
Proficient knowledge of defined business processes. Working knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies
Understanding of project plans and ability to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines. Understanding of the components of running a fiscally successful project. Demonstrated proficiency at assessing the proposed project plans to ensure all needs are met
Drives continuous process improvement for SDLC, maintenance, application support, and Information Technology architecture
Demonstrates experience with process integrations of complex solutions between SAP technologies and non-SAP systems

Preferred
At least 1 professional certification in specific job-related disciplines preferred in addition to the requirements above
Experience with Mobile Field Automation
Experience with Cloud applications (Azure, SSAM, FSM, BTP, Snowflake)
Experience with Mobile solution deployment
Demonstrated knowledge of SAP Utilities Solutions e.g. CRM/CCS, ISU Billing, EDM Invoicing, Device Management, or FICA
Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud
Ability to develop and maintain solution architecture documents, establish policies & standards to meet the developing needs of the business
Ability to understand business requirements and manage conversion into designs, configuration & functional specification whilst maintaining integrity of overall application design
