Licensed Psychologist – Manhattan, NY - School Day - Full-Time
Knowledge Road is hiring a full-time Licensed Psychologist to join their team and offer critical psychological services for students in New York City Department of Education (DOE) schools. This role involves delivering counseling services, performing psychological assessments, and collaborating with school teams to support student mental health and academic success.

Responsibilities
Deliver direct, high-quality individual and group counseling services for students, as required by their Individualized Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP)
Address a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and other complex psychological conditions
Perform psychological assessments and evaluations to guide treatment planning and educational recommendations
Create and execute evidence-based treatment plans using various therapeutic modalities customized to the unique developmental and cultural needs of each individual student
Work closely with parents, teachers, school administrators, and other mental health practitioners to build a holistic and supportive learning environment
Keep detailed and timely documentation of all services, progress, and results per DOE regulations, HIPAA requirements, and Knowledge Road standards
Take an active role in IESP/IEP meetings, providing expert psychological insights and recommendations to support student progress and educational planning
Qualification
Required
Valid NYS license as a Licensed Psychologist
Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program
At least 2 years of experience providing psychological services for children and adolescents
Competence with electronic documentation systems and teletherapy platforms
NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to obtain before start date
Preferred
Experience in school-based settings or educational environment
Specialized training in child and adolescent therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, family therapy)
Experience conducting psychological assessments and testing
