Responsibilities

Assist with the design and production of detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, and site observation reports

Complete structural calculations with different design materials, specifically with steel and concrete

Assist in the selection of the appropriate building materials

Prepare cost estimates for capital projects

Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews, and client presentations

Attend client meetings to ensure the design meets their needs and objectives

Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to production staff

Required

B.S. in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

3-6 years of relevant experience

Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks

Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Ability to work under pressure, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately

Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs

Preferred

PE license in Kansas is preferred (or on track to obtain a PE license)

Exposure to Structural Drafting software (AutoCAD, CadWorx, Revit, etc.)

Exposure to Structural Analysis software (RISA, etc.)
