Responsibilities
Observing, documenting, and reporting cardiac rhythms of patients of all ages, from infancy through geriatric, on telemetry
Performing Unit Secretary responsibilities, to include general clerical functions that ensure efficient and effective processing of information and communication
Qualification
Required
High School Graduate or equivalent
Completion of dysrhythmia for monitor techs course
Completion of a medical terminology course or a minimum of 6 months working in a healthcare setting
Minimum 6 months acute care hospital experience on a telemetry unit
Prior experience working as a telemetry/monitor tech
Prior experience working as a unit secretary
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association required
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire required
