Responsibilities
Responsible for managing complex tasks on medium to large size projects
Plan, organize, and direct the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client
Keep the Principal in Charge informed of progress on project expectations, deadlines, and deliverables and understand the limits of the decision-making responsibilities of the role and respect the boundaries of the Principal in Charge’s responsibilities
Lead the client and project team to assure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent
Assist in the negotiation and development of project agreements
Develop and manage project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance
Mentor Assistant Project Managers and motivate project teams
Assure that Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented
Lead project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors
Manage and track change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule
Work with Operations Manager in determining project staffing needs and recommending personnel
Directs client invoicing and effectively manages collections
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 10 years of experience in project management
Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, estimates, and building codes
Experience in managing complex tasks on medium to large size projects
Ability to plan, organize, and direct work throughout the life of the project
Experience in developing and managing project budget, schedule, and overall work plan
Ability to lead client and project teams to meet project design requirements
Experience in mentoring Assistant Project Managers and motivating project teams
Ability to manage and track change orders and contractual modifications
Experience in leading project coordination and meetings with internal and external stakeholders
