Responsibilities
Transcribe Hindi speech accurately, including aspirated vs. unaspirated consonants and retroflex sounds
Identify and annotate regional variations and code-switching with English
Tag paralinguistic events such as hesitations, laughter, and background sounds
Ensure annotation consistency and high-quality transcription standards
Distinguish dialectal boundaries with related languages such as Urdu and Punjabi
Qualification
Required
Native Hindi speaker
Strong phonetic and dialectal knowledge
Ability to transcribe Hindi speech accurately, including aspirated vs. unaspirated consonants and retroflex sounds
Ability to identify and annotate regional variations and code-switching with English
Ability to tag paralinguistic events such as hesitations, laughter, and background sounds
Ability to ensure annotation consistency and high-quality transcription standards
Ability to distinguish dialectal boundaries with related languages such as Urdu and Punjabi
