Responsibilities
Support our Marketing team in analysis and compilation of alloy Haynes alloy properties vs. the data from competitor alloys
Also support market research activities
To support existing product research & development projects related to high-performance high-temperature alloys through testing and microstructure characterization
Activities may include heat treatments, optical metallography, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), testing, and modeling
Support an existing Research & Technology project in the areas of welding and/or additive manufacturing through testing and characterization of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloys
Supporting activities may include mechanical testing, weldability testing, Greeble thermal-mechanical simulations, optical metallography, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) microstructure characterization techniques
To provide direct support to the Production Planning department Analyzing production data and helping to make sense of it all as directed by various production managers
Researching ways to structure scheduling at our milling work centers utilizing new software
Complete all tasks in a timely manner
Approach daily assignments in an organized fashion and with professionalism
Follow all QCI's and SOP's as necessary
Work with all other members of Production Planning as directed by supervisor
To provide direct support to the Manufacturing Engineering department through continuous improvement projects
This role will also provide a means to evaluate and develop future sources of engineering talent for Haynes International
Assist with web design and development of all company websites’ content in our Content Management System (WordPress)
Assist with updating and cleaning the company digital and print content
Responsible for editing, modifying, and creating content for web, as well as print documentation and technical data
Perform and present content research and recommendations
Capture/edit videos and photos for web and social media content
Maintain digital assets library for both web and social content
Working within the IT department in the following areas: Operational Technology & Infrastructure knowledge (switches, routers, PLCs, machinery, and equipment)
Installation of new equipment and machinery (i.e., VIM, VAR, Forge)
Interested in AI knowledge and experience, along with Data/Big Data knowledge – including reporting, analytics tools, visualization, and processes
To provide direct support to the Plant Engineering department through day-to-day equipment troubleshooting projects
This role will also provide a means to evaluate and develop future sources of engineering talent for Haynes International
Provide direct support to the Plant Engineering Department through participation in daily equipment troubleshooting projects, assisting with maintaining of mechanical drawings manually and on CAD systems, developing project work scopes, engineering specifications and schedules, and developing project management skills
Support the legal department in performing a variety of administrative tasks, such as updating policies, organizing documents, researching, and drafting
Additionally, you will have the chance to gain firsthand experience in all the aspects of a corporate legal department, as well as exposure to the law in employment and benefits, contracts, international, intellectual property, compliance, litigation, business, commercial, and more
Support corporate inside sales focusing on sales development for existing and/or forthcoming investments and synergies, new and existing products portfolios and identifying process improvements
Qualification
Required
Seeking a junior (senior or grad student preferred) actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, seeking medium or advanced knowledge in one of the following areas such as materials science, metallurgy, alloy properties
Must have knowledge in using Excel, Power Point, Word and more
Seeking a sophomore or junior actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program who is interested in research and hands-on lab work
Prefer one pursuing a Metallurgical/Materials Science degree with basic knowledge of general physical metallurgy and thermodynamics
Seeking an intern who is a sophomore or junior actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Informatics/Statistics or Supply Chain Management who is interested in data analytics with skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, TARGIT and PowerBI
Seeking an intern who is at least a Sophomore or junior actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Electrical/Materials Science Engineering, interested in Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
Seeking at least a sophomore actively enrolled in a degree program, seeking knowledge in areas of Web Design, User Experience, Content Editing, Visual Communications, and Digital Media and Design
Seeking a College or university student pursuing an IT related degree pathway such as Computer Engineering, Operational Technology, equipment installation and big data
Knowledgeable in hardware/software diagnostics and repair, strong attention to detail and ability to successfully complete tasks with minimal supervision
Seeking at least a sophomore actively enrolled in a degree program, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering, interested in PLC's, automation, programming and machine controls
Good understanding of hydraulics
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and capable of computer programming
Seeking at least a sophomore actively enrolled in a degree program, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Power Transmission and Structural Analysis
Seeking at least a sophomore, actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, who is interested in pursuing a career in the legal field as either a paralegal or lawyer
Seeking at least a sophomore, actively enrolled in a Business, Management, Marketing or related program with aspirations of working in manufacturing sales
Preferred
senior or grad student preferred
Prefer one pursuing a Metallurgical/Materials Science degree
Interest in machining processes (lathes, centerless grinding, etc.) would be a plus, but not required
Interested in AI knowledge and experience, along with Data/Big Data knowledge – including reporting, analytics tools, visualization, and processes
ERP application(s) (i.e., preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365) knowledge
