Responsibilities
Understand fully customer and company requirements for integrated server and switch configuration and functional testing and test data
Managing testing team, identify and fix testing issues to secure testing throughput meet desired capacity
Define and maintain the test development process
Drives design, development, and implementation of methods to validate and troubleshoot newly developed or redesigned servers
Works collaboratively with other company locations and vendors to maximize test efficiency
Oversees the test plan development, software development, and test plan execution, results analysis, root cause identification, and reporting
Analyzes failure reports and ensures processes are being implemented to improve product reliability and quality
Provide clear and regular technical and administrative direction to professional, technical and administrative personnel assigned to projects
Prepare or direct the preparation of oral and written reports of current project status, as required by the customer, program management or senior management
Prepare tradeoff studies and implement alternative approaches to mitigate schedule delays
Interact professionally at all levels throughout the company and with consultants and customers
Comply with applicable corporate and departmental policies
Manage our Test Engineering function
Hires and trains staff
Establishes goals, monitors performance, and prepares performance evaluations
Ensures infrastructure supporting Test Engineering requirements
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
8+ years of related business experience, with at least 3+ years of management experience in test engineering in the computer/electronics industry is required
A BS degree in Computer or Electronic Engineering or the equivalent is required; advanced engineering degrees would be considered a plus
Linux Administration and Python & Bash Shell programming is required
Excellent operations and customer interface experience is required
A good understanding of business and quality systems is required
Good communication skills at all levels; written, oral & presentation skills
Preferred
Masters degree in Business a plus but not required
Background in Test Engineering, Server Hardware Architecture and Operating Systems
Understanding of Test Network Infrastructure
Experience in New Product Introduction and launch process
Ability to speak a second language
Experience working with other cultures preferred
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
