LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST - PRINCIPAL ENGR. TECHNOLOGIST - Lead Printed Wiring Board (PWB) Designer

Responsibilities
Lead other designers in the development of PWB designs for avionics systems
Participate in proposals and customer meetings
Will work in a team environment as well as independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision
Development of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Library component generation
Requires PWB design experience to support integrated product team design reviews of drawings and other relevant technical data in support of avionic designs
Position may require additional hours to meet project schedules
Collaborate directly with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to develop printed circuit boards and interconnect systems for PCBs in support of MIL-SPEC avionics flight electronic hardware
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelors degree Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Aeronautics Technology or a High School diploma/equivalent or an Associates degree with continued education, certifications, and 25 years related experience
10+ years: Those with a Bachelors degree require 10-15 years of experience in printed wiring board design
25 years: Those without a Bachelors degree will require 25 years of advanced working knowledge of Mentor Graphics PADS Professional, and/or Xpedition with printed wiring board design
Basic understanding of configuration management and electronic development methods are required
A valid/clear driver's license is required
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred
Interconnect principles and practices designing low level and complex PWB designs is desired
A good understanding of Signal Integrity as well as a good mechanical aptitude is desired
Prior knowledge of IPC standards, Digital, Mixed Signal, and RF electronics PWB designs
