Responsibilities
Maintain firm understanding of project phases from kick-off to close-out
Work to accomplish the following tasks as a technical lead:
Preliminary Engineering Due Diligence
Research Federal, State and Local Government Agencies as Required for Land Development Projects
Develop Conceptual Plans Based on Research and Client Requests
Generate necessary engineering design computations to support the design
Prepare Construction Plans required for the project
Prepare Site, Utility, Grading/Drainage, Stormwater Management, Erosion Control, and Roadway Designs per the Local Authorizing Agency
Compile Project Manual Which Includes Contract Documents and Technical Specifications
Prepare and Obtain Necessary Permits
Coordinate with Other Disciplines as Required
Assist with the Project Advertisement, Bidding, and Contracting
Communicate with Clients and Other Project Stakeholders, including attending and Participating in Project Meetings
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
1-4 years of experience as a Professional Engineer (PE) in a consulting engineering environment (preferred)
NC Licensed Professional Engineer (or if licensed outside NC, ability to obtain NC license within one year)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (O365) applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Knowledge of AutoCAD – Civil 3D strongly preferred
Strong technical skills in site/roadway layout, grading, drainage, storm water management, utility, and erosion control design
Ability to communicate effectively to design team and clients
Able to work on multiple projects at one time
Preferred
1-4 years of experience as a Professional Engineer (PE) in a consulting engineering environment
Knowledge of AutoCAD – Civil 3D strongly preferred
Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling preferred
Writing and compiling storm water reports and/or narratives
Experience with compiling project manuals
Familiarity with limited construction administration and observation
