Responsibilities

Lead the deployment, administration, and maintenance of middleware software supporting customer applications

Architect and engineer mid-tier infrastructure for a mixed environment that includes Linux, UNIX, and Windows systems

Install, configure, and manage application and web servers such as IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere

Manage operating system configurations and mid-tier components to ensure high availability and performance

Schedule and coordinate deployment activities, including new installations and infrastructure upgrades

Develop, enforce, and maintain security standards across middleware environments to comply with ALTESS and Army requirements

Create and manage proactive monitoring systems and administrative dashboards to ensure consistent service delivery

Perform Security Readiness Reviews (SRRs) and document findings in Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)

Collaborate with development teams to support debugging and middleware integration tasks

Stay up to date with middleware technologies and recommend improvements for system performance, security, and scalability
