Sr. Computer Network Support Specialist

Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. The Sr. Computer Network Support Specialist will lead the planning, engineering, and support of the organization’s systems infrastructure, focusing on the design and implementation of hardware and software solutions, as well as optimizing system performance.

Responsibilities

Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Plan, design, and implement network and systems infrastructure, including hardware and software components
Lead the engineering and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance IT systems
Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs for enterprise applications and services
Maintain and update network documentation, including architecture diagrams, configurations, and procedures
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance infrastructure capabilities
Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior network and systems staff
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and security best practices

Required

Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching, firewalls, and system monitoring tools
Experience with hardware and software implementation, including servers, storage, and virtualization platforms
Proficiency in system performance analysis and troubleshooting
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
At least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
IAT Level II Certification
Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Must have active TS/SCI

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience working in federal or defense environments
Industry standard technical and network certifications
