Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement state estimation algorithms for GNSS/INS-based systems

Utilize sensor fusion techniques to combine data from multiple sources, including GNSS, IMUs, and other navigation sensors

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and develop high-performance solutions for navigation and positioning in dynamic environments

Test and evaluate performance of software both in simulation, data playback, and on-vehicle

Travel occasionally to support on-site vehicle testing

Required

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering or related field

5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Strong proficiency in Kalman filtering (Extended Kalman Filters, Unscented Kalman Filters, etc.) and other real-time state estimation techniques

Strong proficiency in non-linear optimization (gradient descent, Levenberg-Marquardt, etc.)

Familiarity with GNSS/IMU/INS algorithms, sensor calibration, and error modeling

Strong background in linear algebra, computational mathematics

Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and/or MATLAB

Preferred

Experience developing localization/navigation systems for a variety of vehicles, including large trucks and small skid steer vehicles

Familiarity with industry-standard navigation software and hardware tools
