Responsibilities
Assist in the services and activities of development staff assigned to the team
Contribute to all design work and provide solution conceptual design to projects based on architecture standards, guidelines, and usage patterns ensuring security, scalability, and supportability
Perform quality control functions as it relates to development work to ensure that the work product meets and exceeds established business standards and practices
Collaborate and coordinate with the development staff and the business analytic or project management staff
Demonstrate and maintain knowledge in utilizing programming tools and techniques
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Four or more years of industry-standard systems analysis techniques including data modeling, process modeling, data flow diagramming, information engineering, Unified Modeling Language UML, Rational Unified Process (RUP), business process reengineering (BPR), and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI)
Experience with object-oriented programming (Java, .Net)
Solid understanding of application frameworks and system integration methods
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
Candidate must be able to work independently on assigned projects
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Demonstrate company core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity
Preferred
BS/BA degree in a related technical discipline or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience
Worked with Oracle RDBMS 10g,11g, and SQL Server 2005, 2008
SQL development experience
Database design experience including knowledge of data normalization, referential integrity, indexing, and database sizing
