The role involves learning and utilizing data to solve problems and improve customer service, along with visualizing data and deploying modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

Assist the full-time Data Scientist team in the analysis, development, and testing of code supporting existing and future products and services

Learn, analyze, and utilize data to solve problems and answer questions

Visualize or contextualize raw data, train, evaluate, and deploy various types of modeling techniques, and communicate resulting trends and observations

Help facilitate the curation of data upstream to ensure it is made available in the most advantageous way possible

Assume other duties as assigned

Required

Completion of or progress towards a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other applied or quantitative discipline

Experience in Python or R, and various libraries/packages

Some understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, including tree-based models and neural networks

Ability to perform critical thinking and statistical analysis

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to commute when scheduled to the local office is required

Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment

Results oriented

Professional appearance and demeanor

Hours during regular work week, Ability to commute daily to local office is required

Preferred

Knowledge around computer vision, Natural Language Processing, or Large Language Models

Experience with SQL, stored procedures, or APIs
