Electrodiagnostic / Neurophysiology Technologist
Methodist Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to restoring and enhancing the lives of those they serve. They are seeking a full-time Electrodiagnostic / Neurophysiology Technologist to perform nerve conduction studies in their Electromyography lab, ensuring patient care and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities
Keeps equipment, accessories, supplies and facility in clean condition
Makes appointments and coordinates the schedule of personnel involved
Maintains laboratory equipment in operational condition and reports the need for repair by submitting a written service/repair notice to the supervisor
Adjusts instrumentation to proper technical standards
Introduces self and others and explain the study procedure to the patient
Attends to patient's personal needs before, during and after the study
Logs-in all pertinent information into laboratory data base and fills out other laboratory documents
Prepares a subject for the study, accurately and efficiently applies, removes and cleans the electrodes according to laboratory policy and study protocol
Reviews all recording tracings with supervisor or other qualified research personnel, receives and implements all suggestions for improving the quality of recording
Insures electrical safety of the subject at all times
Under general supervision performs neurophysiological studies according to study protocols
Collects, analyzes and enters the data into the research database
Attends appropriate lectures, teaching courses and teaching sessions suggested and approved by the supervisor
Maintains knowledge of appropriate actions to take during subject/patient emergency situations
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Experience in health-care or in health-related field
Ability to perform nerve conduction studies in an Electromyography lab
Ability to keep equipment, accessories, supplies and facility in clean condition
Ability to make appointments and coordinate the schedule of personnel involved
Ability to maintain laboratory equipment in operational condition and report the need for repair
Ability to adjust instrumentation to proper technical standards
Ability to introduce self and others and explain the study procedure to the patient
Ability to attend to patient's personal needs before, during and after the study
Ability to log-in all pertinent information into laboratory database and fill out other laboratory documents
Ability to prepare a subject for the study and accurately apply, remove and clean electrodes
Ability to review all recording tracings with supervisor or other qualified research personnel
Ability to ensure electrical safety of the subject at all times
Ability to perform neurophysiological studies according to study protocols under general supervision
Ability to collect, analyze and enter data into the research database
Ability to attend appropriate lectures, teaching courses and teaching sessions
Knowledge of appropriate actions to take during subject/patient emergency situations
Ability to perform other related duties as required
Preferred
Experience as an Electrodiagnostic NCS Technologist
