Responsibilities

Work as part of a small team of engineers to build a product that is new to the world and push the boundaries of software-defined networking
Lead the design and implementation of networking features in our control plane, relay infrastructure, and networking protocols
Work directly with customers' technical teams to deploy and maintain Somewear in their operations
Relentlessly improve performance, reliability, and scalability of our networking stack
Design and implement security-first networking systems to help keep our nation’s service members safe

Required

5+ years in networking, distributed systems, or systems engineering type roles
Proficient in Rust, with a proven track record of building and deploying production-quality software
Deep understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, routing, NAT traversal, and VPN technologies
Experience with distributed systems, particularly those involving real-time communication and high availability
Knowledgeable of Unix & Windows systems, networking concepts, and security best practices
Capable of taking ownership and bringing an idea from conception to production
