They are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to work on a 6–12 month research project focusing on applied experiments with embeddings, product description classification, and mapping retail data to economic taxonomies.

Responsibilities
Research and test NLP/LLM methods for classification and embeddings
Map consumer product data to economic taxonomies (e.g. COICOP)
Run multilingual model experiments and evaluate robustness/interpretability
Collaborate with economists to translate results into actionable insights
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in Data Science
Experience with LLMs (Large Language Models)
Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing)
Experience in applied experiments with embeddings
Ability to map retail data to economic taxonomies (e.g. COICOP)
Familiarity with ECB standards
Ability to collaborate with macroeconomists and policy experts
Experience contributing to research publications and policy insights
