Responsibilities
Deliver Accurate, Insightful Monthly Financials
Maintain and Optimize Cash Flow Strategy
Lead Forecasting and Budgeting Across the Business
Build Scalable Financial Systems and Operational Workflows
Drive Profit Optimization Across Departments
Manage invoicing, collections, and payments to maintain cash flow and ensure accurate reconciliation
Monitor daily cash positions, maintain liquidity, and oversee use of credit float strategies
Ensure GAAP compliance, manage internal controls, and lead external audit preparation
Oversee payroll and reimbursements for accuracy, timeliness, and legal compliance
Oversee accurate and timely sales tax filings and payroll tax submissions, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions
Optimize financial tools (e.g., Xero, LinkMyBooks, Hubdoc, Google Sheets) to streamline workflows and reduce manual work
Reconcile inventory regularly and validate COGS entries in partnership with operations
Provide financial analysis to support key business decisions and capital planning
Work with teams across the business to assess financial impact and support growth initiatives
Maintain dashboards and scorecards to ensure clear visibility into performance
Identify opportunities to delegate transactional tasks and support the development of future finance capabilities as the department grows
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in financial management and leadership roles
Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting
Experience with cash flow management and optimization strategies
Ability to build scalable financial systems and processes
Demonstrated success in profit optimization and cost-saving initiatives
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with GAAP compliance and audit readiness
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Xero, LinkMyBooks, Hubdoc, Google Sheets)
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with leadership
Preferred
Experience in a high-growth company or startup environment
Familiarity with ERP systems and implementation
Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or related field
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus
