The Investment Associate will assist in preparing investment proposals, conducting due diligence, and managing relationships within the industry while collaborating with senior investment professionals.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation and evaluation of investment proposals, including Investment Committee papers

Assisting/leading with transaction due diligence and execution, including leading workstreams and building and/or reviewing financial models, as required

Leading market and sector research and analysis, and provide updates on any insights or developments

Collaborating with senior investment professionals in originating, evaluating and analyzing new investment opportunities

Assisting the group with managing and monitoring existing investments, and identifying and implementing new initiatives as part of the group’s asset management plan

Working with existing portfolio companies to assist in the execution of their respective business plans from the point of initial investment to exit

Managing and maintaining relationships within the industry, including investment banks, fund managers, independent valuers, consultants, and peer institutional investors

Required

A Bachelor's degree covering Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or another quantitative subject, with a strong academic history

A minimum of three (3) years of relevant sector experience in Private Equity or M&A Advisory from a leading investment bank

Possess a demonstrated track record of relevant deal flow execution

Strong quantitative/numerical skills – advanced financial and operational modelling skills

Independent and entrepreneurial character with high commercial acumen and a ‘returns' driven mindset

Excellent written/presentation and oral communication skills

Able to work effectively and collaboratively with different members of the team
