They are seeking an Automation Engineer Co-op to assist with equipment design, assembly, and installation, as well as support engineering efforts for new robotic and ancillary equipment.

Responsibilities

Assembly and installation of fixtures and tooling

Help with equipment design, and recommendation of sensors and safe guarding

Electrical panel wiring, pneumatic and hydraulic plumbing

Create and edit electrical schematics

Support engineering efforts to install and integrate new robotic and ancillary equipment

Order and document components necessary for projects

Maintain a productive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment

Perform machine safety analysis to verify systems meet OSHA requirements

Work with the product design team, mechanical designer and manufacturing engineer during the prove-out process

Troubleshoot issues with automated equipment and develop solutions
